BRAND NEW for 2027!

OUT OF THE SHADOWS YOUTH CHOIRS

LOOKING FOR A CHOIR FOR A YOUNG PERSON?

Look no further!

IGNITE is our  new youth choir aimed at talented young singers, aged 10-17. We have many very successful Adult choirs but we initially started (nearly 20 years ago!) as a youth choir and we are so excited to now be offering Ignite Choirs in London (Greenwich), Cambridge and Bury St. Edmunds.

We are also incredibly excited to launch our BRAND NEW 'Sparks' Choir in Bury St. Edmunds, for children aged 5-9 years. We have two upcoming workshops in November 2026, and will be launching formally in January 2027!

What Can I Expect?

Our main focus is building technique as well as ensemble singing skills in an uplifting environment. Within our bespoke arrangements we give solo opportunities to those that want to push themselves even further and we keep our numbers low to ensure that every voice is heard and developed by our choral directors.

All of our Choral Director are highly skilled vocalists who have worked as vocal teachers/lecturers and performers for many years. They are extremely highly regarded in both the performing industry and the educational world.

We will be working towards:

- Two performances per year (Summer and Winter)

- One or two competitions, initially regionally but looking to the national competitions next year. We were highly successful in these festivals with our previous youth choir!

The only reason we stopped having a youth choir was because the members all grew up and didn't want to leave so it just morphed into an adult ensemble!

We can't wait to welcome you to IGNITE!

Cambridge Ignite: Thursdays in term-time, 6.30-7.30pm

Bury St. Edmunds Ignite: Wednesdays in term-time, 6.00-7.00pm

London Ignite: Wednesdays in term-time, 7pm-8pm

We believe Out of the Shadows should be a place where all children and young people can thrive and grow. We are committed to providing safe and inclusive settings for our young members, and have a number of policies in place to support this. You can view our policies by clicking here.
